ADIRONDACK FISHING OUTFITTER
Adirondack Outfitters can meet all your outfitting needs. Consider a fishing trip or hunting excursion.
ALL-INCLUSIVE BIG FISH PACKAGE

Back To Basics can plan a wonderful fishing trip to one of our area remote lakes, based on your time frame.  We can create a custom fishing package to meet all your fishing needs and pleasures during your Adirondack Fishing Vacation.

Our maximum group size is eight and no minimum size group is required for booking.

Your fishing package, that we will custom designed to you and your group, will be all-inclusive. The only thing you (the fisher) is required to bring is your personal fishing gear, bait, and clothing.  We will be providing your MRE's or home cooked backcountry meals (depending on what you chose).

Upon your arrival at Back to Basics you will be greeted by your host. Your first night here you will be accommodated at one of the backcountry camps on premises.

Once you have been checked-in to your choice accommodation for the evening, take the time to relax and unwind from your trip here.  During you arrival night you have the choice of preparing your own meals in your camp or letting us prepare a home cooked country meal for you (additional charges do apply).

Following dinner, we will discuss your next day's fishing excursion.  Maps of the remote locations, boundaries, gear, equipment, and some tips and tidbits on Adirondack fishing will be discussed.
At 5 AM, you and your group, will be provided a hot breakfast at the main house to get you off to a great start.

A quick gear check follows prior to our departure to base camp.  The drive to the remote location is short and your Adirondack fishing excursion has now begun.  Backpacking is required to reach some of the remote base camp locations, but does provide orientation to the area along the way.   Details of the terrain will be shown; along with many different fishing options for you to choose from.
Many trout fisherman find the creek a wonderful challenge, as did Andre and Kerry.
When we arrive at base camp, it is time for the group to set up camp and unpack (while in the field all your meals will be included), but please feel free to bring any favorite snacks or foods that you wish during your fishing trip.  After camp is set, the FISHING WILL COMMENCE!!!!!
Andre and Kerry worked well as a wilderness team and also husband and wife, eventhough Kerry forgot the Crystal Ball.
While you and your group are out fishing the remote lakes, we will be preparing your Adirondack Backcountry Meals or MRE's over the open campfire.  When you return to base camp it is time to relax and enjoy a hearty backcountry meal, MRE, hot coffee, and perhaps a cold one.
Kerry watches the fish simmering over the open campfire as Kim watches the Beef Strogenoff.
At Back to Basics, we pride ourselves on your comfort and safety.  Your trip will be one that will be remembered for years to come.
While in the field your accommodations will be a outfitter's tent that comfortably sleeps 5.  The advantage to an outfitter's base camp is that your staying where the fish are.  You will wake in the morning to begin your fishing in the vast wilderness areas of the Adirondack Mountains.

A FEW FISHING FACTS IN THE ADIRONDACKS
- PROVIDED BY DEC -
The many lakes and ponds, rivers and streams of the Forest Preserve support thriving communities of game fish. In many remote ponds, DEC is working to restore and maintain the native brook trout. Suitable waters are managed for other "salmonids" such as lake trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, and kokanee salmon. Anglers can also find an abundance of feisty "warm water" fish, like smallmouth and largemouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch and bullheads - information provided by DEC.
