WINE TASTING TOURS IN THE WILDERNESS??

August 30, 2004 - September 2, 2004

Meet Jason & Tania

A Back To Basics photo of Jason & Tania during their wilderness adventure.
Jason & Tania decided on a few nights in the wilderness; after stopping off in the Finger Lake Region for a few (or should we say several) wine tasting tours.

Time to break out the wine glasses! Wine glasses in the wilderness?  Tania now had enough to fill the wine rack!
Tania and Jason decide on a toast to their first night at Bear Necessities Cabin. Tania did pick up a few bottles (or should we say car load full) of great wine from the Finger Lake wineries.

Yes, these hosts were definately a little strange.  Dan & I's promise: You come as you are and we will stay as we are.
Tania and Jason did have smiles on their faces; but were still pondering the fact that Dan might possibly be an Adirondack axe murderer?? Only time would tell???

Guess Tania didn't buy enough wine?
Jason holds tight to his favorite bottle of scotch. The name is an old family secret...

Tania relaxes at the cabin during her wilderness adventure.
Ok...maybe not an axe murderer, chainsaw murder definitely.

Killer green lanterns in the Adirondacks?  My happy ending!
Tania burned her nose, was it the gas light ?

Here it comes the story of the year!  Tales at the Adirondack Mountain Cabin.
As we were sitting around viewing the maps of the area, we also had a few Adirondack backcountry stories.

Neat sound effects!  What would you do? Dan was grinning too?
Tania, what's that noise under your car, sounds like something's dragging? Jason knows what it is..just look at that grin..

Pop should have a picture gallery of his own.  No doubt everyone survived even with the axe murderer present!
(Left) Tania and Jason sign the porch at Back to Basics main house. What's that furry thing next to Tania? Popcorn always has to be in the mix of things. (Right) Tania and Jason were getting ready to leave Back to Basics; and the final picture appeared sad, good news is that your only a few hours away.

"We had a great time!! All should try the couch pulled out downstairs - it's better sleep comfort than the double- plus you get company @ night from "nibbles" the mice. We had a truly unique experience out here! Love the telescope too! Thank goodness for pops the wonder dog on our night hike otherwise we may not even have made it off the yurt trail!!"

PS: Kim's spice/apple cake rules!

"A great rustic cabin experience. Wish I had more time to do an overnight hike. The hikes to Kane Mt and Nine Corner Lake were great. Thanks for the treats too! Hope to make it back again and stay in a different yurt."
