REST, RELAXATION
or ADIRONDACK CORRUPTION

Meet Ken
April 30, 2004

Ken during his excursions at Crows Nest Yurt in the Adirondack Mountains.
Ken arrived at Back To Basics with his friend Dennis.  Dennis had booked a Basic Survival excursion into the Adirondacks.  Ken decided to come to the Adirondacks for some rest and relaxation while Dennis went out on the survival trip to Nine Corner Lake.

Ken & Dennis arrived in the Adirondacks for rest, relaxation, survival courses, and some corruption
The first night of their arrival we spent the evening reviewing our itinerary and packing for tomorrows departure.  Dennis and Kim tried to convince Ken to try the wilderness trek, but Ken wanted to kick-back and relax.  The first night accommodations were spent at Whitetail Run.

Prior to our Survival course departure course. Everyone gathered for a group photo.
The following morning we all prepared for departure and we left Ken in the hands of our neighbor Bill, if any problems did arise.

Dennis and Ken seemed pleased. Dennis with his new excursions of basic survival wilderness techniques and Ken with his laid back attitude for rest and relaxation.
Dennis, Dan and I headed out for Nine Corner Lake for Basic Survival, and Ken decided to move up to Crow's Nest Yurt for the evening.
We later learned upon our return that the neighbors (Bill, Dennis, & JoAnn) had taken Ken out on a night on the town to the local tavern Hap's.  SO MUCH FOR REST AND RELAXATION!!!!  Our neighbors courteously corrupted Ken with bon fires, pizza, and beer.

Upon everyones return to the homestead. All seemed pleased with their getaway weekend.
Either way Ken seemed to have a wonderful time whether it be rest and relaxation or corruption.
We look forward to seeing him again, when we can enjoy his company.

It's Day #2 here at camp, and I am all alone!  There's no one else around.  Total nature surrounding me with the brids and that Texas Chainsaw Massacre guy who keeps cutting down trees, in the distance!  Finally he stopped.  Let's see for how long!  Anyway, its been a good day.  I look forward to returning.  I need a nap! OVER & OUT.
